Melissa graduated earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in human resource management.

Racing Background: Melissa started drag racing in 1998, in the High School class. She went to the Summit ET finals three times, representing Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA. After high school she stepped the Mustang up to the Pro class for a few years, then to the Super Pro class that she competes in today. The Mustang runs 10 second quarter mile times at 125 mph.

In November of 2005, Melissa received her NHRA Super Eliminator license which allows her to run 7 second quarter mile passes at up to 200 mph with the blown alcohol dragster.

In April 2007 Melissa received her Advanced ET license which allows her to run 6 second quarter mile passes.

She cuurently races the dragster in the NorCal Top Comp association and the NHRA Top Dragster class. The Mustang will race in the Super Pro class of the Summit ET Division 7 series.

In the 2006 race season Melissa finished 7th in points and received the Rookie of the Year award in the West Coast Super Eliminator Association.

In the 2007 race season Melissa finished 7th in points and received the Newbie award in the NorCal Top Comp Association.

Miscellaneous: When Melissa's not racing she works fulltime "shaping the taste of fine wine" at a company that produces barrel alternatives. She has earned her black belt in Taekwondo, she played volleyball, softball, ran track and was a high school cheerleader.
